What does the combat look like?

The combat is turn-based, with a strong focus on strategic, command-based battles. You can assemble a team of up to four characters and unlock their Ultimates to neutralize the Kaijus' cores.

Why were there so many rumors about the end of service before the game was even out?

The developer recently earned some infamy for shutting down their other title, Tribe Nine, after only nine months of service. That made many players skeptical of the studio, although it is far too early to tell if Kaiju No. 8 will follow the same fate.

What is Kaiju No. 8?

Kaiju No. 8 (also known as Kaiju No. 8: The Game) is an officially licensed mobile adaptation of the eponymous manga and anime. It is a squad-based RPG where you play as the commander of the Japan Defense Force, tasked with taking down the monstrous entities. The game features two separate modes. One is based on the original storyline, while the other features brand-new original content.
