How to Get Traits on Pets in Catch and Tame
To get Traits on pets in Catch and Tame, you need to purchase the Trait Machine. Go to the Lassos and Food Shop and open the Buildings section. Scroll down a little to find the Trait Machine and purchase it for $1,000,000.
Once you purchase it, it’ll go to the Build Inventory. Click on the Build icon on the right side of the screen and click on the machine to place it in your Pen. After placing it down in your Pen, you can now use the machine to apply Traits to any pet you want. Here’s how to use the Trait Machine in Catch and Tame:
- Interact with the Trait Machine and choose the pet that you want to apply traits to.
- You can only place the pets from your Inventory in the machine. If you want to apply traits to a pet that you’ve placed in your Pen, make sure you pick it up and add it to your Inventory.
- Once you put in the Pet, you’ll have to place at least three more pets in the machine to start the process. Each pet you place will provide a luck boost and increase your chances of getting 1 or more traits on the selected pet. You can place up to 10 pets in the machine for a maximum luck boost. However, keep in mind that you will permanently lose the pets you place in the machine.
- Higher rarity pets will provide a higher luck boost. Here’s how it works:
- Mythical Pets - 1500% Luck Boost
- Legendary Pets - 800% Luck Boost
- Epic Pets - 400% Luck Boost
- Rare Pets - 100% Luck Boost
- Common Pets - 10% Luck Boost
- Once you’ve placed all the pets you want, you can start the machine by clicking on the big green button in the output window. Depending on the rarity of pets placed in the machine, you’ll have to pay some money to start the machine.
There’s no timer on the Trait Machine. As soon as you hit the green button, the money will be deducted, and the resulting pet (with traits) will be added to your inventory.
There is a chance that the selected pet will not get any trait. So, I suggest you place as many high-rarity (Legendary & Mythical) pets in the machine as possible to increase your chances of getting at least one trait on the selected pet.
