Curse of Binding is an enchantment in Minecraft that can be applied to items worn by the player such as Armor, Elytra, and Mob Heads. When this enchantment is applied to a worn object, that object cannot be removed except through death, cheats, or breakage. Because Curse of Binding is permanent, many players want to know how to remove it.
If you're playing Survival and the curse is applied to a piece of worn Armor, you cannot remove that piece of Armor. You also cannot remove Curse of Binding from the Armor before you wear it. A Grindstone will remove all enchantments except curses, so there is essentially no legitimate means to remove Curse of Binding or Armor enchanted with it in Survival.

If you are playing Hardcore Survival, then you are stuck with whatever you're wearing until it breaks. If the item doesn't have a durability aspect (such as mob heads or Carved Pumpkins), then your character will be stuck with that item until they die.
However, there is a way to remove Curse of Binding from specific objects with the enchantment. If you have it applied to a Mob Head or Carved Pumpkin, you can remove it by placing the item as a block, then breaking the block. This will cause the item to drop as an item without the Curse of Binding. This does not work on Armor or Elytra. If these are placed or dropped as items, the enchantment is not removed.
Having said everything above, it appears that Curse of Binding is true to its name and is actually bound to the object to which it applies, and bound to the person wearing the object!
