VV Ultimatum Tier List - Best Builds Ranked

VV Ultimatum has a lot more going on than a simple class or weapon choice. Your race, Skill Tree, Clan, Hollow Traits, Spirit Charms, and weapons can all push your character toward completely different builds, from fast Hakuda pressure and heavy weapon trades to Quincy ranged play, Shinigami Kido control, or Hollow Cero burst.

This VV Ultimatum Tier List hub brings all of our rankings together in one place. Use it as a quick overview of the best options in each system, then check the individual tier lists if you want full effects, stat details, explanations, and build-specific notes.

Tier List CategoryBest PicksQuick Explanation
Skill TreesHakuda, SpeedHakuda is the strongest pressure tree, while Speed is useful for almost every build because movement, spacing, and recovery matter in every fight.
Hollow TraitsIron Skin, Wings, Deadly Claws, Tailbone, Innocuous PresenceThese traits give strong defensive, mobility, melee, Cero, or Resurrección-based value for Arrancar builds.
Spirit CharmsA Song of Fire and Thunder, Shonen Syndrome, Heavenly Restriction, Raid Boss, Close & PersonalSpirit Charms are build-defining passives, but stronger Charms often come with conditions, drawbacks, or notch costs.
ClansCifer, Kurosaki, ShihoinThe best clans depend on race, but the top choices usually give damage, mobility, Reiatsu, Resurrección uptime, or defensive value.

VV Ultimatum Race & Skill Tree Tier List

TierSkill TreesEvaluation
S TierHakuda, SpeedHakuda is the best close-range pressure tree for aggressive melee players, while Speed is the most universal support tree because mobility, Shunpo tools, engage options, and recovery help almost every build.
A TierQuincy, Strength, ShinigamiQuincy is the best ranged race tree, Strength is excellent for weapon and posture pressure, and Shinigami offers strong Kido utility, binds, traps, and control tools.
B TierHollow (Arrancar)Hollow has a clear Cero, Bala, and defensive burst identity, but it is narrower and more predictable than the stronger, more flexible trees.

Skill Trees are one of the most important parts of your character because they decide how you actually fight. Some trees are damage cores, some are mobility support, and others are race-specific branches that become better once your build has the stats and tools to support them.

If you are not sure where to start, Speed is the safest splash tree because it improves how your whole build feels. Hakuda is the best choice if you want to play an aggressive fist-based build, while Strength is better for weapon users who care about posture damage and heavier trades. Quincy, Shinigami, and Hollow trees should mostly be judged based on the race you picked and whether your stats actually support their main damage type.

VV Ultimatum Hollow Trait Tier List

TierHollow TraitsEvaluation
S TierIron Skin, Wings, Deadly Claws, Tailbone, Innocuous PresenceThe best Hollow Traits overall. These give major value for tanking, mobility, melee pressure, Cero burst, or PvP roaming.
A TierSkinny, Dense Muscles, Tentacles, GiantStrong traits with real build value, but they are either slightly more specialized or come with more noticeable tradeoffs.
B TierBack Scales, Energized, ExoskeletonUseful in the right build, especially for Cero, Kido, or defensive setups, but not as universally strong as higher-tier traits.
C TierHornsMakes Cero easier to land, but it lacks the damage, mobility, defense, or duration value needed to compete with better traits.

Hollow Traits are exclusive to Hollow/Arrancar progression and become especially important once you start thinking about your final Arrancar build. They can change your appearance while also improving movement, defense, Cero, Hakuda damage, Resurrección duration, posture, or stealth.

For melee Hollow builds, Deadly Claws, Iron Skin, Dense Muscles, and Tentacles are the traits to watch. For Cero builds, Tailbone is the main damage pick, while Back Scales and Horns are more utility-focused. For mobility, Wings, Skinny, and Innocuous Presence are the strongest options, with Wings being the cleanest general pick because it has no real downside.

VV Ultimatum Spirit Charm Tier List

VV Ultimatum Charms Tier List

In-Game TierBest Spirit CharmsEvaluation
Tier 4A Song of Fire and Thunder, Shonen SyndromeThe strongest high-end Charms. A Song of Fire and Thunder rewards AP management and supports both melee and Kido pressure, while Shonen Syndrome can upgrade the right move at the right time and swing fights.
Tier 3Heavenly Restriction, Raid Boss, Adrenaline Junkie, Await the Opening, Kill Confirmed, Soul Snatcher, Ultimate Sacrifice, You’re In My RangeBuild-defining Charms with powerful effects. These are usually for players who already know what kind of build they are making, whether that is pure physical combat, outnumbered fights, parry pressure, executes, or anti-gap-close defense.
Tier 2Close & Personal, Ranged Warrior, Frostwalker, Tools of the Trade, Wraith’s Spirit, Perfect Flash, Side Character, Relentless HunterStrong mid-cost options. Many of these are easier to fit into practical builds because they offer focused value without demanding your entire setup.
Tier 1Critical Blows, Domination, Flashmaster, Giant Fighter, Head Hunter, Prey Turned Predator, Trouble in ParadiseSimple, narrow, or situational Charms. These can still be useful, especially for farming, mobility comfort, crit damage, bossing, or matchup-specific PvP.

Spirit Charms work a bit differently from normal S/A/B/C tier lists because they already have in-game tiers from Tier 1 to Tier 4. Higher-tier Charms are usually stronger or more complex, but they also take up more notches. Since going above your notch limit reduces your max HP, the best Spirit Charm is not always the highest-tier one; it is the one that fits your build without creating a drawback you cannot manage.

For beginners, I would avoid picking Charms only because they sound flashy. A simple damage, mobility, or PvE farming Charm can be better than a complicated high-tier Charm if you do not have the build or playstyle to support it. Close & Personal is easy to understand for melee builds, Ranged Warrior makes sense for ranged/Kido pressure, and Side Character is useful when your main goal is NPC farming rather than PvP.

VV Ultimatum Clans Tier List

Clans are passive bonuses tied to your race, and they are important because rerolls can be limited or expensive. The best clans usually give stats that are hard to ignore, such as Kido Damage, Weapon Damage, Hakuda Damage, Shunpo Speed, Shunpo Stamina, Reiatsu, posture, or defensive bonuses.

Best Hollow / Arrancar Clans

TierHollow ClansEvaluation
S TierCiferThe best all-around Arrancar clan thanks to longer Resurrección, Kido Damage, Reiatsu, and Shunpo Stamina.
A TierAaroniero, Jaegerjaquez, MurciellagoStrong picks for Kido, Hakuda, or mobility-based Hollow builds. Murciellago is especially good for a Common clan because movement always matters.
B TierAntenor, Kufang, GingerbuckSolid options for more specific Lightning, Weapon Damage, or defensive builds.
C TierLousienbairn, CaliusBasic utility or durability picks, but they do not offer enough direct combat value to rank higher.

Best Quincy Clans

TierQuincy ClansEvaluation
S TierKurosakiThe best Quincy clan overall because Reiatsu, Weapon Damage, and Shunpo Speed are useful across many builds.
A TierEisenhauer, Ishida, HaschwalthStrong clans for defensive, Kido, or ranged pressure builds.
B TierParnkgjas, Richter, Kraus, WernarrGood general-use clans with small but practical defensive, posture, health, or weapon bonuses.
C TierSchulteMostly useful for Equipment Load, but it does not directly improve damage, defense, or mobility.

Best Shinigami Clans

TierShinigami ClansEvaluation
S TierShihoinThe best Shinigami clan for mobility-heavy players thanks to Shunpo Stamina, Shunpo Speed, Lightning Damage, and Hakuda Damage.
A TierKamamura, Kuchiki, YamamotoStrong picks for melee defense, Kido Damage, or Weapon Damage builds.
B TierHitsugaya, AbaraiUseful defensive and survivability options for leveling or safer general play.
C TierMadarameEquipment Load has some value, but it is not enough to compete with stronger combat-focused clans.

VV Ultimatum Weapon Tier List

Weapons are currently the most uneven part of the ranking because not every race has the same weapon system. Quincy Spirit Weapons have the clearest early-game list right now, while Shinigami weapons use a Zanpakutō part system, and Hollow weapons still need more testing.

TierQuincy Spirit WeaponsEvaluation
S TierSwordThe safest and most consistent starter weapon. It has no major weakness and works well for progression and early PvP.
A TierSpear, LongswordSpear is excellent for range and spacing, while Longsword is a safer, longer-reaching alternative to Sword with lower damage.
B TierGreatsword, Hammer, ClubStronger payoff weapons that can work well if you like heavy hits, posture pressure, or punish-focused play, but they are slower and less forgiving.
C TierRifle, RapierPlayable, but currently harder to recommend because their lower damage makes them less reliable than Sword, Spear, or Longsword.

For most Quincy players, Sword is the best beginner choice because it does not force you into a specific playstyle. Spear is better if you already understand spacing and want to keep enemies at range, while Longsword is good if you want extra reach without going all-in on slower weapons.

Ranking Criteria

These VV Ultimatum tier lists are ranked based on practical value, not just raw numbers. Damage matters, but a good build also needs consistency, mobility, survivability, resource control, and tools that actually work.

When ranking Skill Trees, I looked at combat identity, flexibility, SP investment, combo value, mobility, and how well the tree supports progression and PvP. For Hollow Traits, the biggest factors are Resurrección value, Cero or melee synergy, defensive impact, mobility, and whether the trait has a meaningful downside. For Spirit Charms, the main question is whether the payoff is worth the notch cost and drawback. For Clans, rarity matters, but actual stat value matters more. For Weapons, consistency, range, speed, damage profile, and beginner comfort are the most important factors.

Best VV Ultimatum Builds for Beginners

If you are new to VV Ultimatum and do not want to overthink your first build, start with a flexible setup. Speed is the safest Skill Tree to invest in early because movement helps every playstyle, and you can pair it with your main damage tree later. Hakuda is the best route if you want aggressive melee pressure, while Strength is better if you prefer weapon-based posture damage and heavier trades.

For Quincy players, Sword is the safest starting weapon. For Hollow players, do not ignore traits before committing to your final Arrancar path, because good Hollow Traits can shape your build long-term. For Shinigami players, look for clans and tools that support either Kido, mobility, or weapon damage instead of trying to do everything at once.

For Spirit Charms, beginners should start with simple and readable effects. Charms like Close & Personal, Critical Blows, Flashmaster, or Side Character are easier to understand than high-risk setup Charms. Once you know whether your build is melee, ranged, Kido, PvE, PvP, or invasion-focused, you can start experimenting with stronger and more conditional options.
