Leveling up is an integral part of Final Fantasy XIV, as with any Massively Multiplayer Online game or MMO. So players (new and old) must have the know-how to progress when playing. Here are some ways to make sure you're leveling up steadily as you play.
The quickest way for new players to level up when playing Final Fantasy XIV is by completing the Main Scenario Quests, or MSQs. These missions follow the game's story and will allow players to level up with ease. A Realm Reborn's main story falls under the Seventh Umbral Era Main Scenario Quests.
Those looking to level up secondary classes and jobs can participate in a handful of other activities. Here are a few suitable options:
- Option 1: Duty Roulettes
- Missions that pair parties together in dungeons or raids. Completing each type of roulette once a day will yeild additional experience along with consumable items like Tomestones of Poetics. These missions can be found in the Duty Finder.
- Option 2: Deep Dungeons
- Instanced dungeons Like Heaven-on-High or Palace of the Dead offer ever-changing environments for teams to tackle as they climb higher. Players can even save and return where they left off should they want to take a break.
- Option 3: Job-specific quests
- Quests only available to a certain class or profession. They are periodically available depending on character level, often rewarding players with new abilities and substantial experience.
