How to beat the Rot Commander in Kena Bridge of Spirits – Rot Commander Boss Guide

Kena: Bridge of Spirits follows a spirit guide on her journey to purify a corrupted forest, allowing the tormented spirits to move on to the next plane. On her journey, Kena has several powerful adversaries blocking her path, including the Rot Commander.

The Rot Commander is a colossal foe, more massive than any enemy Kena has faced thus far, and it’ll take some careful planning to take this boss down. See our breakdown of the bosses multiple actions and attacks below:

• The Rot Commander is a massive beast brandishing a giant mallet. His attacks hit hard, so be wary when striking him with physical attacks. Try to stay back when dealing with this beast, relying on Rot abilities to stun and damage the foe to mitigate the risk of injury.
• There are several glowing crystals covering the Rot Commander, shoot them with the bow to do significant damage to the monster. Breaking these crystals also stuns the boss briefly.
• Be careful when fighting the Rot Commander from a distance, as he will toss his mallet like a boomerang to hit Kena when she gets to far. Use the shield ability to protect Kena from the throw, making sure to watch out for the return attack.
• Use the Rot to open up flowers in the area to heal if the Rot Commander hurts Kena.
• Evade the Rot Commander, and try to get around behind him. He’s slow and it’ll take him some time to get around to face Kena. Use this opportunity to deal damage and wear down the boss.
• Keep up these attacks until the Rot Commander falls, clearing the path for Kena to continue.
