How many Chapters are there in Xenoblade Chronicles

A story is the sum of its chapters.

Xenoblade Chronicles is an extensive game full of exciting quests and a beautiful world to explore. There are also three different versions, including the Wii, 3DS, and the Nintendo Switch Definitive Edition. As such, you may be wondering how long the game is and how many chapters there are.

Excluding the prologue and Definitive Edition's epilogue, there are 17 chapters in total. With the prologue and epilogue, the number of chapters is 19. The story is split into these chapters, but the game does not tell you which chapter you are on unless you search for it.

This information is displayed on your save file, and you will be prompted to save it at the end of each chapter. With 17 chapters, the game is massive and, on average, can take up to 70-75 hours just to beat the main story. Add in side quests and collectibles, and you are looking at a much longer time.

If you haven't completed the game, each chapter does have a title that may contain spoilers, so it is best to avoid looking at future chapters until you have progress in-game. These are not displayed in-game but rather in the Japan-only guide. Those interested in this information can also find it on the Xenoblade Wiki.
