Soaring Pixels Games' title Breakwaters is an action survival game with several dynamic elements. Depending on the time of day, and players may find different resources and wildlife. But is the weather also impacted by a dynamic system in Breakwaters?
Breakwaters does feature a dynamic weather system. Several vital factors impact weather in Breakwaters. According to the game's official Kickstarter page, the following in-game factors influence the dynamic weather system:
- The time of day
- Proximity of a Titan
- The state of nearby ancient structures
- Unique powerful items

Weather can range from mild to extreme, and these different factors come with various impacts on the open world. Lightning can damage players by striking them, and heavy rain makes the ocean more turbulent when sailing.

Breakwaters debuts on Steam Early Access on November 11, 2021, and the title will eventually make its way to consoles later. However, Soaring Pixels Games has yet to share when the console version launches.
