To fix Forza Horizon 5Â crashing on PC, you will need to try a few things. The first method is to make sure none of the following programs are active in the background:
- Avast
- AVG
- Bitdefender Firewall
- Emisoft Anti-Malware
- Avira
- Sophos
- Comodo Antivirus
- Trend Micro Maximum Securit
According to the official Forza support page, the programs listed above will not work and prevent Forza Horizon 5 from launching.
So if you have any of these programs active in your background, it could be the cause of your crashing errors. The same goes for the following list of programs.
But it's worth pointing out that none of these programs are sure to cause problems with the game.
Because of this, we recommend going through and turning them off one by one to see if anything changes. That said, here's the list of potential problem programs:
- Discord
- EVGA Precision
- OBS
- Xsplit
- Logitech G Hub
- MacType
- MSI DragonCenter
- RyzenMaster
- Gamefast
- Any Power Monitoring software
- A-Volute Sound studio
- Nahimic Audio
- Sonic Audio
- Warsaw Banking App
- Wallpaper Engine
If none of these problems are the cause of your Forza Horizon 5 PC errors, then it's time to bring out the big guns. The next step you should do is update your drivers because sometimes certain drivers for video cards don't agree with new games.
In these situations, all we can do is either update to the newest version or roll back to a previous version to see if anything changes. Other steps you can try include updating windows, reinstalling visual c++, verifying Steam files.
