Halo infinite offers a multitude of new mechanics and components to the multiplayer experience. One of the new items players will notice in Halo Inifinite's multiplayer is the XP Grant system. What do these items do?
XP Grants are consumable items in Halo Infinite that instantly grant experience towards Battle Pass Progression. Each XP Grant gives 250 experience points. To use an XP Grant, players can open up their Battle Pass from the main menu, where they'll see a prompt to bring up a Boosts menu. Once there, select the XP Grants option to use a consumable. Keep in mind that if you have no XP Grant consumables, you can't boost your experience.

Season 1: Heroes of Reach's Battle Pass contains various cosmetic items, such as Armor Coatings, weapon skins, and Armor reminiscent of iconic characters from Halo: Reach's Noble Team like Jorge, Kate, Emile, Jun, and Carter.
Each tier in the Battle Pass requires 1000 experience points to complete, and with 100 levels, players need to accumulate 100,000 experience to finish each season. The progression system is a bit of a slog, but the team at 343 Industries assures players that they're working on making the system more rewarding.
Season 1: Heroes of Reach runs from Nov. 15, 2021, to May 2, 2022, and while the season does end on May 2, players will still be able to unlock gear from previous seasons. Once a pass is purchased, users can select this pass to progress no matter how much time has passed.
