With the first ever map update on Olympus, a lot of exciting new and updated Points of Interest (POIs) are coming to Apex Legends. Unlike with many other map updates, the Sabotaged Olympus update is not destructive in nature, but is, instead additive. Two new major POIs have been added, and none of the existing POIs have been destroyed. That also means the Olympus map as a whole has gotten bigger. Let’s take a look as everything that has changed.
All New Points of Interest (POIs) on Olympus
There are two new locations, and one new sublocation on Sabotaged Olympus.
Phase Driver
Phase Driver is a brand-new POI open to the air, located between Bonsai Plaza and Hydroponics. It fills in quite a lot of the open space previously outline by the Trident track.
Interactive Phase Driver Device
Like the Boxing Ring in Fight Night, the Interactive Phase Driver Device is an interactive attraction with a POI that can offer players high-tier loot.
Terminal
Between Bonsai Plaza and Labs, a large chunk of the Phase Runner tube now has an inside that can be accessed on both sides. It is perfect for new rotations, and a great POI all on its own.
All updated POIs on Olympus
This does not include small object-based Quality of Life (QoL) changes, only major geometry.
Solar Array, Icarus, and Bonsai Plaza
The Shifted Grounds mechanic of the floating city means that new POIs don’t have to destroy old ones. Instead, the old POIs can be shifted to new locations. Solar Array, Icarus, Bonzai Plaza, and by extension, its sublocation Reverie Lounge, have all moved to new locations on the map.
Grow Towers
The new second ramp on Grow Towers is perfect for storming a team trying to hold the high ground. Having two ramps gives less mobile Legends a better chance to navigate and fight in this zone.
North East Path
While not technically part of a major POI, this new small pathway added to the hallway between Turbine and Rift will help players escape the general choke of the area. A small, but mighty change.
