In Elden Ring, Mad Tongue Alberich is likely one of the first difficult enemies that players will come across. He is located in Roundtable Hold, so it is easy to accidentally stumble upon him while exploring the building and be stuck in an endless loop of trying to retrieve your lost Runes after he bests you.
A few things to keep in mind when battling Mad Tongue can make the fight much easier. When possible, keeping your distance is vital to coming out of the fight victorious. Alberich deals massive amounts of damage at close range, so staying away from him can save players lots of HP during the fight. Alberich will also use magic in the fight, freezing players in place with his projectiles. Prioritize dodging these projectiles. It may seem like an obvious strategy, but it can really only take one or two hits for players to become frozen and give Alberich the chance to strike.
For up-close melee builds, the best strategy is to time your attacks when the moment is right and then back off of the enemy as quickly as possible. Keep your distance in this fight. For ranged builds, focus solely on dodging his projectile and magic attacks while staying away from him. Take shots when you can, and you will eventually best the invader.
Where to find Mad Tongue Alberich
Mad Tongue Alberich is found in Roundtable Hold. This is the main hub in Elden Ring and players will have the ability to visit this area very early in the game.
While it can be enticing to attack and defeat Mad Tongue as soon as possible, it is a good idea to wait until a higher level to fight him.
