What purpose do Waddle Dees serve?

Players will be happy to learn that rescuing Waddle Dees is quite useful aside from being a kind gesture. Once saved, these creatures will return to Waddle Dee Town where they help repair damaged structures. Doing so unlocks various shops, activities, and even Kirby's house where players can take a rest to regain HP. Aside from its usefulness, unlocking these buildings also makes the hub area of Waddle Dee Town feel much more lively.
