The Gaze of the Deep is a puzzle mechanic that can be found in the Immernachtreich Apokalypse—Fischl's Mirage in the Genshin Impact Summertime Odyssey event. From July 15, 2022, to August 24, 2022, you can explore the Holy Land, where the Prinzessin rules as the Absolute One.
This mechanism is necessary for connecting structures within the Mirage, allowing you to explore its entirety. Here's everything you need to know about the Gaze of the Deep in Fischl's Mirage.
What is the Gaze of the Deep in Genshin Impact
Inside the Mirage (another name for the event Domain), you'll encounter statues called the Gaze of the Deep. These are used to align "images," which are essentially structures within the Immernachtreich. These are mostly stairs and castle parts, which appear broken in the Mirage. By piecing together the images, you can use the now-connected structures to explore further into the kingdom.

How to connect structures with the Gaze of the Deep in Fischl's Mirage in Genshin Impact
Each Gaze of the Deep corresponds to one structure within the Mirage. In the example above, part of the bridge needs to be connected. You need to use the in-game camera to find the correct zoom and angle to make the structures look connected.
You can use the zoom and camera panning functions to help you connect the structures. Watch out for the purple circle in the middle of the sight line, which will appear when you've found the correct angle and just need to make small adjustments to complete the puzzle.
When you've found the correct placement, there will be a purple flash, accompanied by the message "Something has changed around you..." on top of the screen. You can then exit the camera and use the structure you connected.
