Bounties in Destiny 2 function as mini-quests and come in two flavors, daily and weekly. Completing them will award different rewards, depending on the vendor. They range from planetary materials to glimmer and bright dust to enhancement materials. Despite those differences, they all award the most important thing: XP. As such, bounty hoarding is a strategy for quickly leveling a season pass when a new season rolls around in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 Bounty Cap
Like all things in Destiny, this answer isn't very straightforward. Bounties and quests share the same pool of 63. So if you have 13 quests, you'll be able to hold 50 bounties, regardless of their type. With this in mind, it's critical to knock out all your quests to make more room for bounties.
