Introduced originally in the eighth generation, Applin is a dual-type Pokémon that makes its reappearance in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This Pokémon can evolve into one of two different Pokémon, Appletun and Flapple. This is dependent on whether you give them a Sweet Apple or a Tart Apple.
Now, before you can evolve your Applin into either of these Pokémon, you're going to need to add one to your party. Catching one is as easy as selecting the X button while in a battle and choosing which Poké Ball you'd like to use. But, where on the map can you find yourself an Applin?

Where to find and catch Applin in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
You can find Applin hidden in the trees of South Privince (Area Four), West Province (Area Three), and the Tagtree Thicket. When you get to either of these areas, you won't immediately notice any Applin. That's because they are hidden in the trees.
You will need to use your legendary partner Pokémon to dash into the tree by holding down the left stick while you are walking. This will cause you to bump into the tree and knock down any Pokémon that were hanging inside. After catching an Applin, you'll want to search and find a second one so that you can have a chance at obtaining one of each of its evolutions.
