However, there might be times when you may encounter an error code 1 that could spoil your gaming experience. The error code 1 can pop up on your screen due to various reasons including lack of administrative privileges or compatibility. How to fix D3 Error Code 1

The following are all the possible ways to fix this error code if you happen to run into it:

  1. Run as administrator
    • Right-click the Diablo.exe application.
    • Select the Run as Administrator option.
  2. Update your graphics driver.
  3. Run Diablo 3 in windowed mode
    • Right-click the .exe file located in the Diablo 3 file in the proper properties folder.
    • Add "-w" at the end of the Diablo.exe.
  4. Disable antivirus/firewall
    • Add Diablo's main folder to the antivirus scan's exceptional list.
    • In the case of a firewall, temporarily turn it off for both private and public networks.
