There are quite a few items you'll end up snagging in Starfield, ranging from useful med packs to useless foam cups. And if you're hurting for Credits, you may think selling all you've got in your miscellaneous inventory is a good idea. But you should tread carefully here, as some items you're better off keeping.
Miscellaneous items you should not sell in Starfield
Below is a list of all miscellaneous items you should never sell:
Digipicks
Digipicks are an extremely helpful item that you should never sell. You'll always need more digipicks to pick locks, so just choose something else to sell! I promise, there will be a lot of regrets if you sell all of your digipicks and then end up short during a critical moment of a quest.
Keys
Keys are not a good item to sell. This is because they not only have a value of zero, but they also have a lot of use for you. You never know when you'll need a key to unlock a door or gain entry to somewhere secret, so just keep these in your inventory. If you really don't want them on your person, have a companion or storage contained hold onto them.
Foam & Folders
I'm not saying that these items are useful; quite the opposite. These sorts of things are actually so worthless that I don't recommend you waste your time picking them up, much less selling them. You'll only end up dropping them or getting a pitiful single Credit per sale. Skip them altogether.
Miscellaneous items you should keep in Starfield
This question is easy because the answer is pretty much everything other than keys and digipicks. There is a lot of junk you can scoop up in Starfield, and almost all of it is made for you to sell for Credits. This includes items like tape measurers, sculptures, vials, and more.
