Is Arma Reforger coming out on PS4 and PS5?

As a massive Arma fan and a PC gamer, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Arma Reforger and jump into action! Us PC gamers and Xbox Series X/S users got our versions first, but will Arma Reforger also come out on the PS4 and the PS5?

Can I play Arma Reforger on PS4?

Unfortunately, you cannot play Arma Reforger on the PS4. Bohemia Interactive never mentioned any plans for releasing the game on last-gen systems, so chances are you will never be able to play it on the PS4, meaning Arma fans would have to migrate to PC or the Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Arma Reforger was built as a next-gen game from the ground up, and the last-gen consoles are not powerful enough to handle it. The PS4 still commands a high player base, so it is a shame many PS4 gamers will be left without their version of the newest Arma game.

What is the Arma Reforger PS5 release date?

Bohemia Interactive has officially confirmed that the PS5 version of Arma Reforger is in development, but has not announced a release date. Because Microsoft owns both Windows and Xbox, they made the Xbox Series consoles share a similar system architecture with the PC, eliminating most compatibility issues during development. This means that enabling crossplay between PC and Xbox users was a more straightforward task compared to enabling crossplay for the PS5. Therefore, the developers need to spend more time to make multiplayer on the PS5 work seamlessly with its counterparts.
