How to farm Coal in Palworld – Easy Coal Farm

In Palworld, there are several natural resources required for crafting and building, so you need to know how to farm these materials. Coal is a resource required to craft Refined Ingots, so here are a few methods to follow to farm this material.

Where to find Coal in Palworld (Map Location)

Coal is most commonly found in the hot desert biome regions in Palworld. Certain areas like Fisherman's Point, Hypocrite Hill, Investigator's Fork, and Beach of Everlasting Summer have natural Coal deposits that can be harvested. Check the yellow circles on the map images below to see the areas with plenty of Coal ores.

Exploring the map is essential as you discover different biomes which are natural reserves for specific resources. Make sure to unlock the fast travel at the areas mentioned above to return to the spot easily for farming.

Likewise, Coal is also available in Sanctuaries, inside Caves, and Dungeons, but the quantity is quite minimal. So, if you are looking to farm this material, I recommend building a base in the desert region, close to a cluster of Coal Ores. For example, I built my base near a group of Coal Ores and employed Pals with Mining Work Suitability. This way, my Pals farm and gather Coal automatically at the base. Create a Wooden Chest and deploy Pals with Transporting Work Suitability to collect the harvested Coal automatically. Check the map image above to see the exact location of the base.

Coal gets infused with regular Ore to craft Refined Ore which is a necessary resource to craft high-end items. Harvesting tools like Refined Metal Pickaxe, Refined Metal, Ultra Spheres, Assault Rifle, and other essential items require Refined Ore for crafting. It is ideal to build an Improved Furnace and Electric Furnace at your base to easily craft materials like Refined Ore and Palworld Ore. You need to employ Pals with Kindling skills (Fire-type Pals) to work at the Furnaces to craft these materials.
