Pacific Drive - Cross the Old Wall Walkthrough

While the Olympic zone has a lot of dangers lurking in the shadows of the trees, some junctions will be difficult to pass through without failing. Read this Cross the Old Wall walkthrough so that you can pass the Junction and progress with the main story in Pacific Drive.

The moment you see the A9 Smokestacks Junction unlock, you will need to prepare thoroughly. Oppy and the guys will ask you to create a LIM Shield, which will provide protection. However, there are additional ways in which you can ensure your survival

As there will be a lot of Devil Grinders that will destroy your tires, some you can't avoid, you will need to upgrade them first. A good choice is the Puncture-proof tires, as they block both the Flat and Blown Out Statuses.

I personally don't really like the way these tires handle, so my go-to are the Offroad tires instead, which are also easier to make. As I was also driving offroad to avoid Anomalies, these worked the best for me. I suggest packing an extra set of tires in your storage as well. Hopefully, you won't need them, but better safe than sorry. And I've been sorry a few times, so I'm talking from experience.

You will also need to pack a lot of repair kits. Stacks of Repair Putty, Blowtorches, Sealing kits, and Mechanic's kits are a must. First Aid and Food Cans for yourself are also a good idea for when you have to get out of the car to fix it.

When it comes to the car body, you will definitely need to upgrade to something more than steel. I prefer the Lead-insulated parts, as they also protect you against Radiation damage. You can also equip Armored parts to get that extra damage against all of the Tourists and Tour Buses that will explode in your face.

Fuel Cans and Battery Jumpers are also incredibly important as you might have to backtrack, and this section is quite long. There are Charging stations along the way, which you can also use to recharge your battery.

Once you are prepared, you can head to the first crossing point marked on your map. Get underneath the Charge station to recharge your battery while you go into the Tower to open the gate. Equip the LIM Shield, and you are ready to go.

Your goal is to connect the circuit by activating gates along the way. Once you are through a gate, you will need to keep moving and activating checkpoints. If you stop and don't make it to activate a gate, the green checkpoints will turn orange again. But don't worry; all you have to do is go back to the last gate and cross it again to restart.

Take breaks before crossing the next gate to check your car and do any repairs you need to do. Even if a car part is highlighted in yellow and not red, it is better to fix it. The entire mission seems like you have to rush it, but you can definitely take a minute or two to reorient yourself. It's a new area, and everything will look frightening, so these breaks are good to calm you down as well.

After you make it through this section, go to the exit gate marker on the map like you normally would. Climb up to the last tower and open the gate, and then you can cross into the Deep Zone. You don't have to worry about Anchors here, as you will need to head to the Stabilizer anyway. Once you activate it, the Instability Storm will start rolling in, and this is your sign to head to the portal and back to the Auto Shop, with the Deep Zone now ready for exploration.
