You can deal with your enemies close and personal or hail them with arrows and bullets from the distance. You can even use a grappling hook as a weapon and pull yourself to your enemies. Below are the best weapons in Rise of the Ronin ranked in tiers from S to C.

TierWeapons
SBow, Dual Blade, Grappling Hook, Rifle
ABayonet, Handgun, Katana, Naginata
BFire Pipe, Great Sword, Spear
COdachi, Oxtail Sword, Saber

All Weapons in Rise of the Ronin Ranked

S-Tier

  • Dual Blade - This weapon has supreme attack stats, making it the best weapon for aggressive gameplay in the game. The trade-off is a weaker defense stat, but Dual Blade is still a supreme choice for attackers.
  • Grappling Hook - The Good old Grappling Hook is not only a great traversal method but also a great weapon for cutting distance. The hook's attack stats are also pretty high, but the overall usefulness brings it to the top tier.

A-Tier

  • Bayonet - The Bayonet is a combination of a long-range and short-range weapon. The bayonet at the end of the musket can deal nice damage at close range, and you can also fire upon your enemies from a distance. A versatile weapon but not very strong; that's why it's an A-Tier,
  • Naginata - Naginata offers great distance and power but lacks speed. Still, it's a great weapon for fighting multiple enemies because of its AoE attacks. It's not a top-tier weapon, but it's a solid choice nonetheless.

B-Tier

  • Fire Pipe - This weapon emits a ray of flame that burns everything. It has amazing damage output, but it depletes very quickly. To get the most out of it, you need to pair it with a good close-range weapon, like Katana.
  • Great Sword - The Great Sword excels at great range and massive power. However, it lacks all the other aspects, especially speed, which could be the difference between life and death in situations where you're surrounded.

C-Tier

  • Oxtail Sword - The Oxtail Sword, or Dao Dao, is a Chinese curved saber. It's very fast and agile but lacks power and range. Using this weapon will make you look good while fighting a bunch of people, but style points don't win fights.
  • Saber - Another foreign one-handed weapon. Saber is quick and precise, but it lacks power. Its style of fighting is better for multiple opponents, and when faced with a single strong adversary, Saber shows its weakness.
