Roblox Anime Defenders Update 7 has introduced new secret farm and raid units, besides new Ancient and Wish units.
Tower defense games are incredibly popular in Roblox, so it's no surprise that new experiences pop up often. One is Anime Defenders, which combines famous anime characters with tower defense mechanics. This Anime Defenders tier list will help you choose the best units.
All Units Ranked - Anime Defenders Tier List
You'll find the best characters in the S-tier, where most Mythical units reside. They're the hardest to get, but thanks to the Mythic pity system (400 summons), you'll get them eventually. Units from A-tier are somewhat easier to get, as there is a Legendary pity (50 summons). For better chances of getting those rare units, use Portal Hardeners on your portals.
To speed up the process, redeem Anime Defenders codes for more Gems needed for summons. Below, you'll find all the best units in Anime Defenders, including ones introduced in Update 7, tiered from worst to best. The best way to get some of the most powerful characters is to get Golden Knight Portals.

Best Ranked units in Anime Defenders
- Gale Archer - A powerful ranged unit known for its high damage output and ability to pierce attack through multiple enemies.
- Bear King - Very useful unit as he can also attack air. Add to that an AoE attack and bleed damage, and you've got yourself a keeper.
- Carp - One of the best damage-dealing units in the game, thanks to his full AoE attack, multiple attacks, and excellent range.
- Chance Taker – Meta DPS with a fantastic range and AoE attack.
- Cursed Knight – DPS and support unit. His Titan's Swordfall ability completely wipes out enemies in a target area, making him one of the best units in the game.
- Elf Wizardess – Fabulous long-range AoE damage.
- Chief of Ice – Slowing down enemies is key to victory, and this unit, formerly known as Admiral of Ice, does it superbly.
- Donut Warrior – Excellent at slowing units. Very useful support as he has an AoE attack.
- Pink Rockstar – Best ranked Legendary unit because of its combination of farming and attack buffs.
- The Gamer - An excellent unit that can be even better as a summoner unit after evolution.
- The Rift Sorcerer - Fantastic secret unit with full AoE attack and OP damage output. On top of that, this sorcerer is a hybrid, meaning he'll cover ground and air for you.
Best early game units in Anime Defenders
There are a lot of units to unlock and trade in Anime Defenders, including secret units! While it takes a lot of grinding to get them, you must start from somewhere. Below, you'll find a team you can fairly easily get from summons:
- Strongest Swordsman (damage) - 850 yen
- Chief of Ice (support) - 850 yen
- Bloomer (support - farm) - 550 yen
- Dragon Slayer (AoE damage + fire damage over time) - 850 yen
- Vengeful Shinobi (damage) - 600 yen
- Cursed Nail (damage) - 500 yen
I've used the Cursed Nail unit to start the match as it costs 500 yen (a cheap unit with a fast attack), but you can use any other cheap units. If the situation allows, don't place cheap units and skip waves until you have enough for Strongest Swordsman (or any stronger damage unit you have) equipped with some of the best traits in Anime Defenders.
Best late game characters in Anime Defenders
You need the best units you can get to complete the hardest challenges, infinite maps, and raids in Anime Defenders. You'll have to grind and possibly spend some Robux to get there, but in the end, it will be more than worth it. Here are some of the best meta characters in Anime Defenders you should look for.
- Pink Rockstar (support - farm) - 800 yen
- Chief Of Ice (support) - 850 yen
- Skull Warrior (DPS) - 1500 yen
- Curse King (Cursed Prince evo) (DPS) - 1000 yen
- Flame Dragon King (DPS) - 950 yen
Pink Rockstar is the best farm unit in Anime Defenders, as it also buffs your units. Skull Warrior is the most popular damage unit, as it has a full area of attack on placement. For damage over time, Curse Prince has bleed damage, while Flame Dragon King has the best burn damage. Chief of Ice is the ultimate debuff support as it stuns enemies, giving you plenty of time to destroy them.
