Roblox Happy Family Walkthrough: All Acts Guide

Set in 1979, the game begins with a child waking up to what appears to be a joyful family. However, as the narrative unfolds, the protagonist discovers that his sibling, Mark, is trapped in the basement, and the main goal is to free him.

The first chapter of Happy Family is divided into four different acts, but it's important to note that there's no co-op mode in the game, unlike Roblox The Butchery.

On top of that, the journey is not easy, as you'll encounter hoards of challenges that will prevent you from reaching the basement. Before I head to the walkthrough, it's worth noting that Roblox Happy Family is full of creepy jump scares, loud noises, and flashing lights.

Act 1: New Day, Same Day

On August 18, 1979, you wake up in a seemingly happy family at 7:04 AM, only to realize that you're hungry. Your first objective appears: "Go check on mom for breakfast." As you head to the dining room, located next to your bedroom, you'll encounter your first mini-jumpscare. Upon entering the dining room, a cutscene is triggered, and your mom appears.

She informs you that breakfast is ready and asks you to fetch your siblings, Lily and Zak, from their room. Your next objective is to "go get your siblings for breakfast." Their room is on the first floor, accessible via the stairs. Once all three of you are seated in the dining room, the conversation turns to Mark, a family member you’ve never seen.

One of your siblings reveals that Mark is locked in the basement. When you ask your mom about him, she firmly responds, "We never talk about Mark." After finishing breakfast, you all head outside to play.

Act 2: Curiosity

As the name suggests, the protagonist at this point is curious about what's happening in the basement. However, as mentioned earlier, the basement is locked by his mother, which means your first objective in the second act is to find the basement key in Happy Family.

But before that, you have to clean up your room by sweeping the toys off the floor by pressing the interaction 'E' button on your keyboard. There are approximately six to seven items scattered on the floor, and completing this objective is relatively easy. Once you clean up the entire room, the mother enters the room and wishes you a good night.

How to find the basement key in Happy Family

Finding the basement key isn't a piece of cake, as it's well hidden somewhere in the house. The worst part is that before you even get to the basement key, you'll have to unlock two more rooms first.

To start, leave your room in the dark and head to the pantry room, which is located within the dining room you visited in the previous act. Once you're in the pantry room, you'll come across a bunch of wooden blocks stacked on top of each other. With the help of these blocks, climb to the top to find The Circle Room's key in the corner.

In case you don't know, the Circle room is located right next to your bedroom with a huge Circle symbol engraved on it. Once the room is unlocked, you'll find another key on the top of the closet.

At this point, use the purple wooden blocks again to retrieve the key, which unlocks the heart room located in the mother's bedroom. Finally, in the heart room, you'll find the basement room key attached to a wooden dummy.

Surprisingly, you'll also find "Mommy's favorite child, Mark," written on the wall in bold letters.

Act 3: Happy Basement

Act 3 is fairly simple if compared to the others, as all you need to do is climb a bunch of elevated blocks and survive a bunch of jump scares. While you're following your path, a terrifying NPC known as Haunaus will block your way and ask you to play a game with him. He also promises that he'll reward you with a secret prize if you manage to win. Once the conversation ends, he grants you the key to Heart Room, which is essentially the key to Playground.

Act 4: Playroom

In Act 4, you'll run into two more NPCs, Oppaus and Uorta, who'll also ask you to play the game and promise they won't hurt you. However, the game they were talking about was only meant to steal your life. The game requires you to dodge two large wooden blocks that Haunaus slams down continuously. To easily beat it, simply look at the ceiling and try not to get squashed by those blocks. If you fail, you have to start from scratch.

Once you successfully beat this mini-game, Haunaus will reveal that he lied to you, as there's no reward. Instead, another game known as Tag with Haunaus instantly begins. At this point, the environment turns red, and your objective is to escape from Haunaus through the diamond door.

However, as always, the door is locked, and you'll have to find its key. Luckily, the key isn't difficult to spot as it's placed on the top of a red container. Grab it quickly and escape through the door.

In the end, you'll find yourself in the lobby of your house with Mom and two siblings standing right in front of you in a horrifying state. This surprisingly ends the game, leaving many questions in your mind such as what happened to Mark, who was Haunaus and why your family isn't happy anymore?

The game developers have revealed that the development of Chapter 2 is in full swing, and you'll get to the bottom of these mysteries once the new chapter is released.
