Genshin Impact Xilonen farming guide – All Talent & Ascension materials

Whether it's crafting a pair of sunglasses or carving out an ancient name, Genshin Impact's five-star Geo sword user, Xilonen, can do it all. If you're interested in building the chosen hero of the Children of Echoes, prepare all of the items below.

Genshin Impact Xilonen level-up, Talent, & Ascension materials

Xilonen Level-up cost

Prepare the following resources to level Xilonen up to 80 or 90. While you don't have to rush to get non-EM-scaling characters to 90, I still recommend maxing out their Ascension level to unlock all Talents.

Xilonen materials & cost

To Ascend Xilonen, collect 420,000 Mora and the following materials.

Local Specialty & Boss material

x168 Brilliant Chrysanthemum

x46 Gold-Inscribed Secret Source Core

Xilonen requires a Natlan local specialty called the Brilliant Chrysanthemum, which you can find in the areas surrounding the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. She also needs a boss material for ascension. The Gold-Inscribed Secret Source Core can be farmed from the Secret Source Automaton: Configuration Device's Trounce Blossom east of the Ameyalco Waters, and it costs 40 Original Resin to claim rewards after every battle.

Xilonen is a Geo character, so she needs all variations of Prithiva Topaz materials. These are dropped by all Geo Normal and World Bosses, including the Geo Hypostasis, Experimental Field Generator, and Azhdaha. If you can't seem to farm enough of these Gemstones, you can convert materials using the Crafting Table to turn any of your existing Gemstones into Geo variations.

Xilonen's common materials are Whistles dropped by Sauroform Tribal Warriors—humanoid enemies you can find all over Natlan. Since other Natlan characters share the same resources, I recommend keeping a stock as it might be one of more in-demand materials in the region (similar to Inazuma's Handguards).

Xilonen's Talent level-up materials & cost

Make sure to set aside 1,652,500 Mora and the materials presented below to level up all of Xilonen's Talents to 10. You can skip leveling up her least used Talents to save on resources. My recommended priority order is as follows:

1. Elemental Skill
2. Elemental Burst
3. Normal Attack

Xilonen's Elemental RES shred multiplier is completely dependent on her Elemental Skill level, so it's worth maxing out as soon as possible.

All Natlan Talent materials can be farmed from the Blazing Ruins Domain in Tepeacac Rise. Xilonen needs the Kindling Talent Book series, which is farmable on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Since common Talent materials mirror common Ascension materials, prepare extra Whistles to level up Xilonen's skills.

Weekly Boss material & Crown of Insight

Xilonen will need three Crowns of Insights to max out her Talents. These are only required to get them all to level 10 (one each), so you will realistically require only one or two, depending on how important she is in your team setup. These can be obtained from major events that usually happen once every update.

Meanwhile, her Weekly Boss material is the Mirror of Mushin, which can be farmed from the Jorouri Workshop in Sumeru's Chinhat Ravine. Remember that you can only claim rewards from each Weekly Boss once per week. If you're in a hurry, you can use the Crafting Table to convert materials.
