As you may have noticed, the best units in Anime Vanguards are evolved ones. But, thanks to more complex characters and their passives, even some B-tier units can be useful in certain situations (mostly in Story mode).

Anime Vanguards' raid mode, introduced in Slayer's Corp update 0.5, opened even more tactical options, including new units, and evolution items. And with the arrival of Update 1, we've now a huge collection of secret Evo units.

Therefore, don't sell your units too fast if you don't like their rarity, as some of them can be quite strong. To get more units you'll need Gems, and the best way is via Anime Vanguards codes.

Below is a list of all Anime Vanguards characters, updated with the latest batch of units.

Not all Mythical units are great, and not all Rare and Epic units are trash. That's especially true for Sprintwagon, a money unit that you'll cherish and love ''til the end of time or until a better farm comes along. With that in mind, here are the best-ranked characters in Anime Vanguards.

S Tier Units

  • Renguko (Purgatory) - it takes time to evolve Renguko, but the result is a Secret unit with a fantastic Burn affliction that doubles his damage output.
  • Gojo: an extremely powerful unit with insane damage, full AOE, and significant buffs from his domain, making him one of the best in the game.
  • Akazo (Destructive) - immune to stun, which makes him ideal for dealing with this debuff.
  • Alocard (Vampire King) - fantastic Bleed damage.
  • Cha-In (Blade Dancer) - increased criticals combines with high damage output.
  • Haruka Rin (Dancer) - extended range.
  • Tengon (Flashiness) - can attack multiple enemies while increasing his attack speed and damage.
  • Igros (Elite Knight) is an incredible secret unit with over-the-top stats and a full AoE attack.
  • Song Jinwu (Monarch) - summons units.
  • Legendary Super Brolzi - Definitely a unit to tackle bosses in the game due to decent range and insane damage.
  • Sosuke (Storm) - support unit that stuns enemies.
  • Sprintwagon - only money units. Indispensable for most game modes.
  • Todu (Evo) - He has a good passive—12% damage every time he's attacked, stacking up to 36%. The best part is he can swap places with units in his range.
  • Jag-O - decent AOE and strong damage, boosted by a 50% burning ability and a 30% passive buff. Can evolve him to unlock max power.
  • Tuji - a powerful unit with great damage and versatile AOE that changes with weapon switches.
  • Julias - Solid burst damage potential with affordable upgrade options. One of the best units for mid-game.
  • Mechamar - Impressive damage per second with solid cooldown management.

A Tier Units

  • Rengoku - if you're a fan of tough battles, you'll enjoy getting Rengoku. When successful, you'll be rewarded with one of the best Burn units in the game.
  • Alocard - incredible Bleed damage. He becomes even better after becoming Vampire King.
  • Chaso - It's is a mid-damage, full AOE character who, despite lower damage, benefits from a 35% bleed effect that earns him a decent ranking.
  • Cha-In - excellent damage.
  • Itaduri - One of the best un-evo units due to decent damage and SPA rate.
  • Igros - great overall stats. Evolve him to reach his full potential.
  • Noruto (Six Tails) - has good stats, but the game has better Mythics.
  • Obita (Awakened) - a strong high-tier unit you'll replace if you're lucky enough to get S-tier characters.
  • Mohato - Consistent DPS with great scaling but has a limited range for attacks at the base level.
  • Roku (Dark) - can execute enemies, which is very impressive.
  • Sosuke (Hebi) - great all-round unit with especially effective DPS.
  • Vogita Super (Awakened) - solid Mythic unit that you'll use only if you don't have better options.
  • Nobaba - Fast attack speed with excellent single-target damage

B Tier Units

  • Agony - good support with the knockback ability.
  • Alligator - very efficient in slowing down enemies.
  • Goi - Efficient but slow Legendary unit.
  • Grim Wow - He is good at dealing with bosses during the initial stage, but his range and DPS start to fade out as you progress in the game.
  • Nazuka - Highly mobile unit with exceptional crowd control abilities but lacks sustained damage output.
  • Haruka Rin - a solid unit worth keeping because it's much better when evolved.
  • Itochi - He's excellent when paired with a Burn dealing unit because of his passive, which deals additional damage to burned enemies. But without synergy, Itochi is just a solid unit.
  • Kinaru - is great against bosses and gets a speed boost thanks to his passive ability. Better DPS input would be nice, though.
  • Kinnua - has super speedy attacks that can stun opponents but has an Epic unit-level damage output.
  • Naruto (Sage) - solid Mythic units that won't get you far because of his average stats. It's not worth investing in his evo.
  • Obita - He's a great DPS unit, but it has a questionable evolution.
  • Song Jinwu - can summon units.
  • Vogita Super has a great passive that improves his attacks, but you need a rare unit in your team, which will happen rarely. Use him if you have an extra squad spot for a rare unit.
  • Inamuki - High damage rate with quick cooldowns, but has a lower crit rate.

C Tier Units

  • Genas - Burn damage unit, which is always useful.
  • Genitsu - has average stats, so avoid this unit, as there are better Epic units.
  • Inosake - has a great passive (40% better damage and -10% SPA after 10 kills and Bleed damage), which makes this mid-unit very useful at the start.
  • Kokashi - can stun units for 8 seconds every 8 seconds.
  • Pickleo - has solid passive damage that boosts every 6th attack.

D Tier Units

The units below are not worth the trouble, as you'll get at least serviceable units after a few dozen summoning sessions.

  • Gaari
  • Luffo
  • Noruto
  • Roku
  • Rukio
  • Shinzi
  • Sosuke
