S-Tier creatures in Creatures of Sonaria

S-tier creatures are the strongest in Creatures of Sonaria. They work well whether you're playing by yourself or with others. You can easily join a Guild in Creatures of Sonaria using one of these creatures. Their skills are adaptable, and you're less likely to die because they're more durable than the other creatures in the game.

I realize that there are a fair few creatures in the S-tier, but with over 300 creatures that are either still in the game or were added in during special events, there's no way to keep any of the tier lists particularly small.

Creatures in the S-tier list have practically no weaknesses and are incredibly good teammates to have.

For example, the Tsugae may only be a tier two creature in Creatures of Sonaria, but it has a huge number of skills that players will find useful. Its Plague Breath ability alone makes it a standout pick. This active ability, triggered using the breath control, delivers steady damage over time with 0.5 DPS (0.25% per hit) and has a critical hit chance of 25%. Tsugae can sustain pressure in combat without running dry too quickly.

What's more, it inflicts the Disease Status with a 100% chance, creating an opportunity for further debuffs, as the Disease status ailment can stack once, adding even more tactical depth for players aiming to wear down enemies over time. This combination of sustained damage, status infliction, and critical hit potential makes the Tsugae an excellent pick, even among higher-tier creatures.

A-tier creatures in Creatures of Sonaria

A-tier creatures may not be as fancy as the S-tier creatures, but they can still pack a punch. I'd recommend A-tier or B-tier creatures to beginners who aren't familiar with Creatures of Sonaria. A-tiers will help you learn the game without constantly dying, though you will need to work towards (or buy) certain creatures because very few are available to free-to-play players.

Let's use Frigiboa as the example for A-tier creatures in Creatures of Sonaria because they're one of the creature species that you can unlock through missions.

They may only be a tier one creature, but Frigiboa has plenty to offer. With the ability to block poison, burn status, and bleed status, you'll be set up with a semi-aquatic omnivore that will help you get to grips with the game instead of becoming another creature's lunch.

On top of that, Frigiboa has two handy passive abilities. Its Frosty ability grants a +25% boost to stamina and health regeneration while reducing thirst and hunger depletion by 25% during the Winter and Famine seasons. This makes surviving harsh climates much easier. Its Iron Stomach is also quite helpful - allowing Frigiboa to consume rotten meat without suffering from the Sickly Status, making food scarcity less of a concern. These abilities make Frigiboa not only resilient but also a fantastic choice for new players learning the ropes.

B-tier creatures in Creatures of Sonaria

As I mentioned in the last section, B-tier creatures in Creatures of Sonaria are also helpful for new players. They aren't as powerful as S-tier and A-tier creatures, but they're flexible and have a good range of abilities for you to play around with.

The Cavengauu is another creature that you can unlock through creature missions in Creatures of Sonaria. They're a tier four land photocarnivore in the game, and quite similar to a griffin in appearance.

Along with their ability to block bleed status, poison status, and eat rotten meat without getting sick, the Cavengauu has a few other passive abilities. An example here is the Sticky Fur ability, which can inflict the Sticky Teeth Status onto any enemies that bite your Cavengauu. This increases the bite cooldown of the creature that your Cavengauu bites by 65%.

C-tier creatures in Creatures of Sonaria

C-tier creatures aren't too bad to play, they just aren't as powerful or helpful as higher-tiered creatures are. If you're choosing a C-tier creature to play in Creatures of Sonaria, try to choose one with decent defensive capabilities or healing abilities.

Sha'Rei is a great choice for a C-tier creature because of its Invisibility skill. This is an active ability that they have, which... Well, turns your creature invisible. It's a great defensive ability for new players who are trying to complete their missions without getting munched on by another player, though it does have its downfalls.

You can be spotted while invisible. You'll leave a sort of reflection in the water, footprints on the ground, and creatures with the Keen Observer ability will be able to find you.

Thankfully, you'll also have Dart, which gives you a quick speed boost for you to get away if you need to.

D-tier creatures in Creatures of Sonaria

There's nothing really that special about D-tier creatures. They have very similar abilities, and you'll probably get taken out of the game in minutes if you're in someone else's territory.

That said, Eiroca is a D-tier that you can get for free by completing the creature missions in Creatures of Sonaria. The reason I'm suggesting Eiroca is their Quick Recovery ability.

Quick Recovery is a passive ability that can boost your HP regeneration. This is perfect for keeping your creature alive after you've been attacked - provided that you can get away by using your Speed Steal ability and stealing a bit of gotta-go-fast from the creatures around you.
