General Tips and Tricks

  • Eliminate a player while swimming [1]
    • It's easiest to do this in Team Rumble. Join a match and head to a lake, pond, river, or ocean that will be in the Storm Circle when it shrinks. This will bring many players close to you and provide plenty of opportunities to get a kill. When we tried this, we had to do it while moving in the water, otherwise it didn't register. Harpoon Guns are very helpful in bringing enemies closer to you in the water, so be sure to get a Harpoon and a Shotgun. One-two punch!
  • Deal damage to players within 30 seconds of landing from Battle Bus [150]
    • You'll want to do this one in Squads since a lot of players land with their teammates, giving you more opportunity to deal damage. Land in a popular drop location like Lazy Lake or Pleasant Park, and aim straight for a gun when you're about to touch down. Pick it up and find anyone to deal damage. You have to deal 150 damage, so if you want to do this in one match, you'll have to win this initial duel!
  • Pickaxe eliminations [1]
    • This quest is easiest to do in Squads, Trios, or Duos since you're able to eliminate an opponent after you knock them. Work with your team to knock down an entire opposing team, then simply walk up and eliminate them by hitting them with your Pickaxe. Instead of registering as an elimination with the weapon you used to knock them down, it will register as a Pickaxe elimination!
  • Build sandcastles [3]
    • You can use the map above to find the locations where you can build the sandcastles. When you find the blue holograms where the sandcastles are supposed to be, simply interact with them to build them. If you need more detailed instructions, you can use our guide on Where to Build and Destroy Special Sandcastles in Fortnite.
  • Deal damage to descending Supply Drops [100]
    • This is easiest to do in Team Rumble since the spawn rate for Supply Drops is much higher. Land anywhere on the map and simply wait for a Supply Drop to spawn near you. While you wait, grab a rifle or a bow. These are the best weapons to use at long distance, and the shorter range weapons will be essentially useless for this quest.
  • Destroy opponent structure while driving a vehicle [1]
    • This quest can be easily completed in any play mode, but is easiest to do towards the end of Team Rumble. Grab a vehicle early in the match and hunt for opponents. It's helpful to fire at them before you drive after them as this will make it more likely for them to build structures to protect themselves. Once they build a structure (you'll see a lot of structures toward the end of the match), simply run into it to complete this quest.
  • Destroy sandcastles [3]
    • You can use the map above to find the locations where you can destroy the sandcastles. When you find them, simply interact with them to destroy them. If you need more detailed instructions, you can use our guide on Where to Build and Destroy Sandcastles in Fortnite.
  • Legendary: Time airborne using Hop Floppers and Shockwave Grenades [100/200/300/400/500]
    • This task will take more time than one might assume. We've tested out a few tricks and have determined what does and doesn't work.
      • Using your wings to increase the time that you're airborne doesn't work. It only counts time in which you don't have your wings activated.
      • The fastest way to gain time is with Hopper fish. Build a ramp about five walls high, chow down on a Hopper, then repeatedly run up it and jump off. Jump toward the base of the ramp so you can climb it quickly and jump off again. Each jump should get you about three or four seconds, and you can do it several times before the effect wears off.
      • Shockwave Grenades are the least efficient way to complete this task since you have a limited supply. However, if you use them, be sure to get as high as you can (ie, the top of The Spire) and boost yourself off to get a lot of air time.
