Age of Empires is one of the most iconic Real-Time Strategy or RTS games on the market. Fans of the genre eagerly await the release of Age of Empires IV, announced during E3 of 2021. With the newest Age of Empires title fast approaching, players ought to know where to play the title.

Age of Empires IV only has plans for release on Windows 10 PCs. There are no plans to release the game on Xbox consoles. Users can purchase the game via the Microsoft Store or Steam storefronts and pre-load the game on their PC should they pre-order.

Set for release on October 28, 2021, Age of Empires IV aims to be the most expansive and ambitious title in the franchise yet. GamePass subscribers can download this title to their PC without additional charge, as it joins the ever-expanding catalog of day-one releases on GamePass. An Xbox GamePass Ultimate subscription costs $14.99 monthly but offers over 100 titles for both Xbox consoles and PC for players to enjoy at their leisure.
