The Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update is here and brings plenty of new activities and items for players to enjoy and utilize during their time on their island. One of the items introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 is the Donation Box. But what does this new item do?

The Donation Box allows others to put their Bells into the box, which the owner can then collect later on. It's a great way to scrounge up some cash for an upcoming project you want to take care of on your lovely island, or you can pay off those pesky home loans.

The Donation Box is just one of the many items added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the free 2.0 update. Players who are looking to add even more to their Animal Crossing experience can purchase the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise DLC that launched alongside Animal Crossing 2.0.
