All weapon nerfs, buffs, and changes for Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance

The Triple Take is no longer nice.

Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance has no new weapon, and it’s all about the nerfs on the existing ones too. There are, in total, three new nerfs, and a reiterated nerf that went live a little early for us to talk about. There is only one non-Hop-Up related buff this season, and it’s to the weapon that entered the Supply Drop. It’s easy to say that the weapon meta is going to shift a lot with these changes, but the nerfs aren’t that brutal.

Triple Take (Marksman)

  • [Nerf ↓] Projectile growth has been removed from bullets
    • This is normally reserved for Snipers, but was not removed when the Triple Take became a Marksman weapon. Now it is in line with others in its class
  • [Nerf ↓] Damage per bullet is now 21 (formerly 23)
    • This means a full three-bullet hit deals 63 damage (formerly 69)
  • [Buff ↑] Can take a new Hop-Up: Kinetic Feeder

Peacekeeper (Shotgun)

  • [Buff ↑] Can take a new Hop-Up: Kinetic Feeder

VK-47 Flatline (AR)

  • [Nerf ↓] Damage per bullet is now 18 (formerly 19)
  • [Change ↔] The Flatline is now a Replicator Exclusive

RE-45 (Pistol)

Rampage (LMG)

Alternator (SMG)

  • [Nerf ↓] The Disruptor Rounds Hop-Up has been removed
  • [Change ↔] The Alternator SMG is no longer in the Supply Drop

Volt (SMG)

  • [Buff ↑] Damage per bullet is now 17 (formerly 15)
  • [Buff ↑] Base magazine size is now 30 (formerly 28)
    • All magazine sizes have increased by 2
  • [Change ↔] The Volt SMG is now in the Supply Drop
