Apex Legends has brought yet another content update, the Unshackled Event, with new weekly challenges, unlockable cosmetics, and a returning limited-time mode. The event is scheduled for an April 19 release and will conclude with the current Season 12. Here's everything arriving with the forthcoming content drop in Apex Legends.
Unshackled Packs and Cosmetics
Just like any other limited-duration event, the Unshackled Event adds a plethora of cosmetics for various characters and weapons. Players can unlock a total of 40 event-themed cosmetics via the event exclusive Apex Packs or Apex Coins.
These items will be included in the standard Apex Packs after the event ends. Furthermore, the event exclusive items can be crafted using crafting metals in the customization menu. Here are some of the major items coming with the Unshackled Event:
- Machine Language - Crypto Skin
- Bad Bot - Pathfinder Skin
- Quantum Collision - Wraith Skin
- Slingshot - Valkyrie Skin
- Prison Pacifier - CAR Skin
- Terminated - Hemlok Skin
- Digging the Grave - Peacekeeper Skin
- Pyromania - Rampage Skin
Flashpoint LTM
The Flashpoint game mode is making a spectacular return with the Unshackled Event. In this mode, the map has several Flashpoint Zones that automatically regenerate your health bar and shield over time, making the need for healing items obsolete.
Unshackled Flash Events and Challenges
Players can complete two unique weekly challenge tracks to unlock event-themed cosmetics for their legends and weapons. Some of the major rewards during the Unshackled Event include the following:
- April 19 to April 26: Unique Badge, Epic Charm, Epic Re-45 skin, Epic Seer Skin
- April 26 to May 3: Unique Badge, Rare Apex Pack, Epic Boxing Nessie Holospray, Unshackled Pack
Upgrade to Thematic Tab
The Thematic Event Tab in the Apex Legends menu screen has been adjusted. Although this addition is minor, the developers believe that the change will help "show off new content better and make menus easier to read and navigate."
