How to unlock Recruitment slots in Arknights

Arknights is a tower defense mobile game where players take on the role of Doctor, a mysterious medical professional and skilled tactician who extensively studies Oripathy—an incurable disease that has caused discrimination and conflict within Terra.

The game offers you the ability to summon one to six-star Operators—characters that can be deployed to battle—for free through Open Recruitment.

Upon starting the game, you're granted one Recruitment slot. Here's how to grow that number to four slots to maximize your daily Open Recruitment potential.

Unlock The Office

First, head to the Base, which is located under the Recruitment menu. It allows you to build various facilities to produce resources, convert materials, earn Credit, and more. In particular, the Office is concerned with anything related to Human Resources—including Recruitment.

Start by building facilities in this order:

• Power Plant Level 1
• Factory Level 1
• Trading Post Level 1
• Workshop Level 1
• Office Level 1

Once you've unlocked the Office, you'll earn a second Recruitment slot and reduce the Recruitment fee by 10%.

Level Up The Office

Leveling up the Office involves a cumulative Base improvement effort, so you need to work on other facilities as a prerequisite to the Office.

Level 2

First, get your Control Center to Level 3 by building six Level 1 facilities. After unlocking the Office, you'll have five facilities, so consider bringing in another Power Plant to fulfill this requirement. You need x60 Drones, x3 Concrete Building Materials, and 60 Power to bring your Office up to Level 2.

This will unlock the third Recruitment slot and reduce the Recruitment fee by 20%.

Level 3

Start by getting your Control Center to Level 4, which requires eight Level 2 facilities. This may take a while to achieve, depending on how often you farm building materials. After, you'll be able to get your Office up to Level 3. The materials needed are x120 Drones, x5 Reinforced Building Materials, and 60 Power.

This will unlock the fourth and final Recruitment slot and reduce the Recruitment fee by 30%.

With four Recruitment slots, you can obtain up to 96 Operators per day if you set the Recruitment time to one hour each, refresh every hour, and don't use Expedited Plans. Meanwhile, you can increase the possible Operator rarity by bumping up the Recruitment time to up to nine hours.
