Avatar Frontiers of Pandora has a ton of weapons at your disposal; some prefer the bow, while others prefer the up-close combat of a shotgun. In this guide, I'll walk you through how to unlock the Shotgun early in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora.
How to get the overpowered shotgun in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora (Unsung Hunter quest)
To get the shotgun as early as possible in Frontiers of Pandora, you have to get finish the quest called "The Unsung Hunter." Follow these steps to get an overpowered Shotgun:
- To initiate "The Unsung Hunter" quest, you need to approach the two Na'Vis (Alyemun and Neyan) arguing on the upper floor of the Hometree.
- After the short cutscene, head to the crash location, where you'll find Aleymun.
- Another short cutscene will play, and you're now free to investigate the incident within the vicinity.
- Use the SID on the container in the small RDA outpost, giving you more insight into what happened in the area.
- Match the following items during the investigation:
- Aranahe Spear - RDA Corpses
- Ikran Prints - RPG on the ground
- Aircraft Piece - Broken Tree
- Approach Aleymun to discuss your findings during your investigation.
- Track the trail after the investigation, leading you to a small group of RDA enemies.
- Defeat all of the RDA members, including the reinforcements.
- The RDA-SCII Light Shotgun is within the locked container, which requires a SID hack to unlock.
- Lastly, get back to the Hometree and talk to Alyemun and Neyan to get Neyan's Hunting String mod reward.

The RDA-SCII Light Shotgun is a very powerful early-game weapon you can use to decimate even RDA mechs up close. Based on my testing, it only takes one to two shots to destroy an early-game RDA mech due to its powerful 110 damage on the regular ammo.
If you have storm ammo available, you can use it to electrocute RDA mechs and use the Eject Ancestor Skill to eliminate them instantly. The RDA-SCII Light Shotgun is even more powerful than the stock shotguns you'll get by trading at the Resistance Headquarters, so I highly recommend you start the side quest as soon as you get to the Hometree.
