How to drop weapon attachments in Back 4 Blood

Ditch that attachment.

Back 4 Blood, Turtle Rock Studio's most recent release is a return to form. This cooperative shooter allows players to take on swarms of the undead with up to three friends, offering high levels of customization to how players experience the game with several options like swapping weapon attachments, but how can players drop these weapon modifiers?

Recommended Videos

To drop weapon attachments in Back 4 Blood, players must find another attachment to fit that slot and replace it. Players cannot outright drop attachments unless they've got a replacement available. Because players can only take off these weapon modifiers by exchanging it with another option, we recommend checking an item thoroughly before snapping a piece on when your gun has no attachment in that slot.

If you're in desperate need of an attachment swap, be sure to check the game's shop in the Safe Room at the beginning of a round, as they often sell weapon attachments in exchange for a bit of Copper.

Back 4 Blood is available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
