Back 4 Blood is the latest game from Turtle Rock Studios. This subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is best known for its classic title, Left 4 Dead. Now that the company is back to making cooperative zombie shooters, it’s essential to know whether or not the game has friendly fire.

Back 4 Blood does have friendly fire, but it depends entirely on which difficulty players select. The higher the difficulty players choose, the more damage they do to their teammates. Recruit Mode does not include friendly fire, while both Veteran and Nightmare mode has friendly fire. We’ve disclosed both the buffs and debuffs of each difficulty setting below:
