Electronic Art's Q3 2022 Earnings Call was expected to deliver a future roadmap for Battlefield 2042. However, the developers have instead announced a delay in the arrival of Season One. The first massive content drop for the game has been pushed back to early summer of 2022.
DICE and Ripple Effect have stated via the official Battlefield Twitter account that they are continuously listening to and taking action based on player feedback. Some of the key features that are expected to arrive in the forthcoming updates include the following:
- Player scoreboard
- Voice chat (VOIP)
- Player profile
- Reworked ping system
- Several other changes, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements.
