Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies brings back the fan-favorite round-based gameplay with lots of returning and new features. In addition to your primary and secondary weapons, field upgrades and equipment are also important parts of your loadout.
All Field Upgrades in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Each player can carry a specialized tool called field upgrade that recharges over time by killing zombies and can be used when available for a powerful attack against the enemy. Here are all the field upgrades available in BO6 Zombies:
- Aether Shroud: Phase into the Dark Aether and become hidden from the enemy for a short while.
- Frenzied Guard: Repair armor instantly and force all nearby enemies to attack you. During this time, each kill repairs a part of your armor.
- Healing Aura: Instantly revive downed teammates and heal everyone including yourself to full health.
- Energy Mine: A mine that detonates periodically dealing lethal damage around you.
- Dark Flare: A beam that can penetrate through everything and deals lethal shadow damage.
The first four field upgrades have been in Call of Duty Zombies for a long time. While Healing Aura is the best support tool and at least one squad member must have it, Energy Mine is a fantastic defense item. I'm excited to use the new Dark Flare as it can prove extremely useful in situations when you're getting overrun. Black Ops 6 Zombies has the new Augment feature that you can equip on your field upgrade to make them even more powerful. Furthermore, you can now swap field upgrades anytime during the match from the menu.
All Equipment in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Tactical and lethal equipment can be equipped in your loadout and brought into the match from the beginning. You can also craft new equipment at the Crafting Table during a match using Salvage dropped by zombies you've killed.
All Tacticals in Black Ops 6 Zombies
- Concussion: Slow the enemy's movement.
- Stim Shot: Heal yourself and refresh tactical sprint.
- Smoke: Deploy a smoke screen.
- Decoy Grenade: Attract zombies for a short while.
- Shock Charge: A throwable that sticks to surfaces and stuns enemies.
- Cymbal Monkey: Attract zombies for a short duration before detonating.
- LT53 Kazimir: Creates a black hole that pulls in and kills enemies.
Out of all these items, I am going to use Decoy Grenade, Cymbal Monkey, and LT53 Kazimir. These tacticals are the most effective when you're fighting zombies. While throwing a Decoy Grenade down can draw the enemies away from you, using Cymbal Monkey and LT53 Kazimir will take them out completely.
All Lethals in Black Ops 6 Zombies
- Frag: Fragmentation grenade that can be cooked.
- Sticky: Timed grenade that sticks onto surfaces.
- Molotov: Incendiary weapon that explodes on impact leaving flame residue.
- C4: Sticky explosive that can be detonated remotely.
- Combat Axe: Throwable axe that can one-hit kill enemies.
- Impact Grenade: Grenade that explodes on impact.
- Thermo Grenade: This grenade creates a flammable cloud that ignites and explodes after a while.
- Blast Trap: A plantable device that detonates when enemies are in proximity.
Lethals can all be useful, but the ones that stand out here are Sticky Grenade, Combat Axe, and Impact Grenade. I'll lean toward the Combat Axe more if it happens to be a retrievable item.
All Support Equipment in Black Ops 6 Zombies
- Self-Revive: Revive yourself when downed.
- ARC-XD: RC car that explodes to emit small Aether Blasts.
- Sentry Turret: Automated turret that scans for and shoots down nearby threats.
- Mutant Injection: Transform yourself into a Mangler for a short while.
You can coordinate with your teammates to carry different gadgets as everything can come in handy. A self-revive kit is a must for all players unless someone has the Healing Aura field upgrade.
