Just like the previous Treyarch Zombies games, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies features special power-ups and abilities you can apply to your operator and weapons. Selecting good weapons and equipment is crucial, but acquiring Perk-a-Colas and Ammo Mods proves beneficial in the long run.
All Perk-a-Colas in Black Ops 6 Zombies
- Jugger-Nog: Increase max health by 100.
- Quick Revive: Reduce health regen delay and time it takes to revive a teammate by 50 percent.
- Speed Cola: Increase weapon reload and armor plating speed by 30 percent.
- Stamin-Up: Increase movement speed.
- PhD Flopper: Immunity from fall damage while diving to prone. Dive to prone also triggers an explosion. Don't get affected by self-inflicted damage like explosives.
- Deadshot Daiquiri: Aim-down-sight moves your crosshair automatically to enemy critical location. Deal more critical damage.
- Elemental Pop: Your bullets have some chance to have a random Ammo Mod effect.
- Melee Macchiato: Instead of gun-butt melee, you'll now use a deadly punch.
Perk-a-Colas can be bought from vending machines scattered across the map for Essence. You can choose which Perk Machine to visit first depending on your playstyle and what ability you prefer having, but acquiring all should be your goal if you plan to continue playing the round-based mode. Somewhere on the map will be the Der Wunderfizz Machine, which can grant you all the Perk-a-Colas; however, it's situated in a rather dangerous location.
I always prefer acquiring the Stamin-Up and Jugger-Nog Perk-a-Colas before the others as faster movement speed and more HP is a priority for me in Call of Duty Zombies. Then I try to get Speed Cola, Quick Revive, PhD Flopper, and the other remaining perks. The new Melee Macchiato perk seems like a fun new addition and I can't wait to try it.
All Ammo Mods in Black Ops 6 Zombies
- Brain Rot: Deal toxic damage that can turn a zombie into a friendly.
- Cryo Freeze: Deal frost damage that can slow a zombie.
- Dead Wire: Deal electrical damage that can stun a zombie and generate an electric field that deals damage to nearby enemies as well.
- Napalm Burst: Deal fire damage that can set a zombie on fire.
- Shadow Rift: Deal shadow damage that can spawn a black hole that warps nearby zombies away and drops some from the air.
With Ammo Mods, each bullet has a small chance to apply the respective effect onto the enemy. The classic one that I prefer the most is Brain Rot as the ally zombie can take out several enemies in one go; that said, each one of these power-ups is good. Shadow Rift is the new Ammo Mod that doesn't seem very appealing to me, but I'll have to try it out first.
In addition to applying a Rarity and Pack-a-Punch to your weapons, you can also equip these Ammo Mods. These power-ups can be found as ground loot and can be purchased from the Arsenal Machine for Salvage. As always, only one Ammo Mod can be applied to a weapon at a time, but you can replace it with another anytime.
