Call of Duty Vanguard all Attachments explained

Call of Duty Vanguard features fully customizable weapons and loadouts. You can change any attachment on your primary or secondary weapon via Gunsmith. Unlike Black Ops and Modern Warfare, which had five attachment slots, Vanguard gives you 10 attachment slots on your weapon.

Each attachment type works differently and changes specific aspects of the gun. Here are the details on all attachments in Call of Duty Vanguard.

  1. Muzzle 
    • Such as compensators and suppressors that are attached to the front of the weapon's barrel.
    • Alters recoil, concealment, fire rate, etc.
  2. Underbarrel 
    • Such as grips and bipods that are attached below the barrel.
    • Alters recoil control, stability, etc.
  3. Barrel 
    • Such as short and long barrels that can change the complete operation of the weapon.
    • Alters damage range, bullet velocity, hip fire accuracy, recoil, etc.
  4. Magazine
    • Such as drum and fast mags that feed bullets to the weapon.
    • Alters the bullet caliber, fire rate, damage, penetration, and other statistics.
  5. Ammo Type
    • Such as FMJ and incendiary rounds that change the property of bullets.
    • Alters bullet penetration, damage, etc.

  1. Optic
    • Such as long range and close range optics that replaces the iron sights.
    • Alters zoom level and clarity.
  2. Rear Grip
    • Such as pine tar and fabric that are equipped on the weapon handle.
    • Alters recoil control, aiming speed, etc.
  3. Stock
    • Such as wire and no stock that replaces the weapon's butt.
    • Alters movement, weapon-handling speed, accuracy, control, etc.
  4. Proficiency
    • Such as Sleight of Hand and Nerves of Steel that acts as a weapon perk.
    • Alters reload quickness, accuracy, movement, and other characteristics.
  5. Kit
    • Such as Surplus and Heavy Hitter that acts as a weapon perk.
    • Alters awarded XP, melee attacks, and other characteristics.
