DMZ Scavenger in Vondel mission guide

Hunt operators to lure the Scavenger boss.

In Call of Duty DMZ, you can complete different faction missions that require using custom weapons and fighting against enemy operators. Scavenger in Vondel is a Tier 2 Crown faction mission, and it has two objectives aimed at luring the Scavenger boss in DMZ. Here's how to complete the Scavenger in Vondel mission in DMZ.

How to complete Scavenger in Vondel mission in DMZ

The Scavenger in Vondel mission has the following two objectives, and you can complete them on Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and the Vondel map in DMZ.

  • Infil with a custom weapon
  • Drop the weapon near an enemy Operator's corpse

While it sounds easy, finding and eliminating enemy operators can be tricky, especially if you are playing solo. Firstly, you need to know all the operator spawn locations on different maps to track and eliminate them easily. I would recommend visiting Vondel, as enemy operator spawns are spread out across the map, giving you enough time to sneak up on opponent teams.

Next, you need to select a custom weapon from your backpack and drop it near the operator you eliminated. Eliminated operators attract the Scavenger, and you can easily camp the area nearby to get an easy kill on this boss. Keep in mind it is best to do this mission with a squad, as fighting enemy operators alone can be tricky in DMZ.

For this objective in the Scavenger in Vondel mission, you need to start the game with a customized weapon. To do this, build a loadout in one of the Insured Weapon Slots and equip the gun before queuing in for matchmaking. Remember, you need to drop this custom weapon near an enemy operator's corpse, so select a weapon that has a lower cooldown time. As you can see, I selected the Seance TAQ-56 blueprint since this has a 15-minute Insured Slot cooldown time.

Where to find enemy operators on Vondel in DMZ (exact map location)

Vondel is a smaller map compared to Al Mazrah, but it is bigger than Ashika Island and has tons of vehicles that you can use to navigate around the POIs. There are eight enemy operator spawns on Vondel. Check the white circles on the map image above to see the precise location of these spots. After spawning at one of these locations, you need to track and eliminate enemy operators.

I would recommend finding or purchasing a three-plate vest, self-revive, and UAVs before you engage the operators. Having a few extra killstreaks like Bomb Drones, Cluster Mines, Precision Airstrikes, and Mortar Strikes will allow you to wipe entire squads quickly. After finding the enemy operators, try to engage them one at a time. Once you have eliminated the opponent player, simply drop your custom weapon near their body to complete the Scavenger in Vondel mission in DMZ.
