MW3 and Warzone communities are fed up with broken updates

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are no strangers to updates, but the communities surrounding these games are at a breaking point. For every new feature, map, or event that Activision adds into the game, an equal number of things are broken.

Warzone community reacts to Season 3 Reloaded update

Season 3 Reloaded dropped recently and with it arrived plenty of new bugs and issues that are requiring the team over at Activision to hotfix. From Dev error 5433 to a tac-sprint reload bug and much more, the community is faced with yet another unfinished, unpolished work.

User Eliherr jumped onto Reddit to voice their frustrations about their time playing Warzone, noting the experiences they have witnessed in less than two days of playtime. Among their annoyances are the constant buffs/nerfs to the weaponry, loot nearby preventing reloading, a tac-sprint reloading bug, HUD issues, animations, and sound problems. They are even ticked off by the sudden removal of Solo/Duo Resurgence on Rebirth Island — replacing the fan-favorite mode with a rotation to the fans dismay.

User tawley agreed wholeheartedly, saying, "I agree this update is pretty bad. The audio still hasn't been fixed, the missing textures, the animation desync, the ridiculous lag that came with Season 3 or the dev errors. They never truly fix anything just create more and more issues."

I've experienced similar issues in my recent play time and despite Activision's scramble to fix them, it does little to draw me back into the game after consistent lag or packet loss.

Meanwhile, user _DoctorSocrates_ jumped into the conversation asking for some help, saying, "My game has crashed multiple times on PS5 (twice in Rebirth and twice in Zombies). Are other PS5 players encountering similar?"

While I have yet to experience a crash, the game's constant texture issues and desync have caused me to wish it would crash.

The Modern Warfare 3 community outcry to the latest update

Modern Warfare 3 players aren't having a better time of things either. Reddit user No-Couple6849 found themselves expressing their distaste for the consistent issues; their first hours of the Season 3 Reloaded update were spent rebooting the game after several crashes.

User VirtualJerk*** immediately agreed with the post, saying, "Yupp, the latest update f***** up the animations and gun sounds for me. Weapon inspections and climbing animations cause some serious FPS drops." Another commenter (user xXmjaneXx) says, "I used to get excited about new updates. Now I dread them. Like seriously, everytime the game starts settling down after they f*** it up from one update, it gets ruined the next."

It's a true fault on the developer's side to not have these updates ready and working on release. If this was a short-staffed company then a large majority would turn a blind eye to some issues. However, this is Activision, one of the most storied game developers in the world, and yet they consistently struggle to deliver an update without breaking something.
