What are the differences between CoD Mobile and CoD PC?

Different games, same formula.

Activision offers one of the best first-person shooter franchises, Call of Duty, on several gaming platforms, including consoles, PC, and mobile devices. While the annual releases are currently made for PC and consoles only, smartphones have been the highest revenue generator for the publishers.

Here are some of the major differences between CoD Mobile and CoD PC, which will help you make the switch or determine the right version for you.

Graphics

CoD PC is built for powerful gaming devices, and the graphical fidelity it provides is top-notch compared to industry standards. Every new Call of Duty game tries to improve upon its predecessor by implementing certain advancements and new technology.

However, CoD Mobile doesn't come close because of the limit to what smartphones can achieve in terms of performance. Don't get us wrong, it does a good job for a mobile game, but it could've been better. For instance, PUBG Mobile, which was released more than a year prior, has superior graphics.

Controls

While CoD PC can be played using a mouse and keyboard or a controller, CoD Mobile is primarily meant to be played with touch controls. Even so, you can attach a controller or mouse & keyboard to play CoD Mobile if needed. The game can also be played on a PC using emulators.

Lore

Affixing a story to a multiplayer game makes it even more intriguing to some players. While many don't care about the storyline, good lore means the creators can try new things while sticking to the fundamental plot. Both CoD PC and CoD Mobile provide a story, but they're entirely different. Nonetheless, the developers often add iconic characters from CoD PC games to CoD Mobile.

Price

Everything CoD Mobile has to offer can be experienced for free, except for cosmetics of course. On the other hand, CoD PC comes with a brand new, $60 game every year. However, you can play CoD Warzone Battle Royale, which is a free-to-play game with regular content updates.

Furthermore, even the cheapest PCs and consoles capable of running CoD PC cost way more than smartphones that can effortlessly run CoD Mobile. This fact alone significantly brings down the effective cost of playing the mobile game. Regardless, the experience is distinct compared to CoD PC due to the difference in production value and hardware limitations.
