When does Crusader Kings III: Royal Court Release?

The life of a courtier awaits!

Crusader Kings III is Paradox Interactive’s noble-house simulation game. With players taking control of a single noble in the midst of the Crusades, the Crusader Kings series has never been shy on bringing the brutal reality of the past to life, and Crusader Kings III is no different.

The latest DLC for the game, Royal Court, is set to release on Feb. 8. This is the second DLC released for the game after Northern Lords, a Viking-themed expansion. The Royal Court DLC is set to expand the game by adding an immersive throne room and court to the game, allowing you, for the first time in the series, to experience royal intrigue firsthand.

Beyond this, you can now actually see when visitors come to your court, decorate your throne room, and otherwise customize your noble house in multiple ways. The expansion will add a lot more flavor to the game than the sometimes numerous pop-up text boxes of previous entries in the series.

When you reach the King or Emperor level, the throne room unlocks and changes as you gather heirlooms and artifacts. This is thanks to the re-introduced inventory. If you’ve plundered holy relics from the Holy Land, now you can display them for all to see.

Overall the expansion creates a new way to experience the game. And combined with the new culture system, which allows you to mix and match cultures to create unique fusions, it’s expected to be worth diving back into the game to experience.
