This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

There have always been two forms in the Soulsborne series, and both limit the online connectivity to the game. You can choose to play the entirety of the game in one or the other. It's entirely dependant on your choice as both forms are equally as hard but in different ways!

Demon's Souls PS5 How to Return to Human Form

There are multiple ways to return to Human Form in Demon's Souls PS5. You can use an item called the Stone of Ephemeral Eyes; you can defeat a boss or return victorious by invading another player. The Stone of Ephemeral Eyes is the fastest method, though they are a little rare to find throughout the world.

Being human has a vast amount of benefits for one having a larger health bar and being able to summon help; however, there is no good without the bad! If you are in Human Form, this opens up the world to the invasion of other players, and everyone hates invaders!

Stone of Ephemeral Eyes

The Stone of Ephemeral Eyes are the Embers of Demon's Souls. The eyes are a consumable item that, when used, will change a player from being in Soul Form to Human form. You can find Stone of Ephemeral Eyes on your journey through the harsh world of Demon's Souls; however, they are semi-rare, so don't go expecting to have a plethora of them! Yet, you can purchase and trade to acquire more of these eyes:

  • Patches, the Hyena in the Nexus
    • You can buy one from him for 5,000 Souls and can only buy three from him per playthrough.
  • Gifted two by Worshipper of God in the Nexus
    • If you have 20+ Faith.
  • Sparkly the Crow in Shrine of Storms
    • Trade Pure Faintstone

Defeat a Boss

To become human again, just defeat a boss, easy! Well, no has the bosses are the hardest thing about Demon's Souls, as get ready to bash your head against a brick wall repeatedly until they are dead. Though if you do manage to kill one, you will return to Human Form!

If you are stuck on a boss and want to change to Human Form to get increased health, why not allow yourself to be summoned to help someone else in another world. As if you are victorious against a boss, you will return to Human, along with some Souls for your trouble!

Invade another World

You can become the thing you hate. As if you don't want to spend the time killing a boss or even helping another player kill a boss. You could just instead kill a player in Human Form, and if you succeed in doing so, you will respawn back in your world in Human Form. If you are not sure how to invade, check out our guide!

Like everything in this type of game, this is a 50/50 risk as you might come across a novice player who dies within seconds or panics and falls of a cliff, or you might come across a very skilled player who will destroy you!
