The Dawning has arrived, and everyone's favorite space grandma has returned. Guardians, new and old, have the opportunity to bake cookies for their favorite NPCs using ingredients farmed by defeating enemies across the system. However, some ingredients, like Perfect Taste, seem to have a much lower drop rate than expected. Here's how to track it down.
How to get Perfect Taste in Destiny 2
Perfect Taste is acquired by landing precision shots and preferably kills while playing. To accomplish this, we recommend using weapons with a low rate of fire and predictable recoil, like scout rifles, hand cannons, and pulse rifles. Additionally, we advise against using elemental weapons as flavors are associated with each element, which can interfere with drops.

As for a drop rate, there hasn't been anything official from Bungie. But players across sites like Reddit and Twitter attest to having farmed multiple hours just to get one Perfect Taste to drop. It's frustrating and certainly not the answer we want to give, but persistence is key. There's plenty to do this season, so don't worry too much about focusing on getting this one ingredient outside of normal play. Eventually, it has to drop as you do your pinnacles like strikes, Crucible, and Gambit.
