In the second main mission of The Final Shape expansion, you're presented with a puzzle and not a whole lot of information on how to solve it. It's a fun puzzle, and not too difficult, but for anyone new to the game it might be a bit of a tricky one as one of the core mechanics isn't properly explained, but don't worry, we've got you covered with this guide.
In the second mission of The Final Shape campaign, you'll be prompted to align three dials to open up access to a spooky cave that the ever-insufferable Uldren Sov 'Crow' has thrown himself into. Solving one of these will give you all the info you'll need to solve the rest, so there's not a whole lot to remember.
How to Solve the Dial Puzzle in The Final Shape
To solve these dial puzzles, you'll need to move the hand to several different glowing spots around the circumference (One at the first, two at the second, three at the third). You do this by interacting with the black console you can see in the images above and below, but you'll note that it says it requires 'Psionic Insight'. Psionic Insight is gained by finding and killing the handily named 'Insight Psions'. Typically, two will spawn in the relative area to each puzzle, but you might need to search the area a little to find them or force them to spawn.
Now here's an important bit, killing one Psion will give you one stack of the Psionic Insight buff, and they can stack. Meaning if you kill two, you'll get two. This is important because the amount of Psionic Insight you have correlates directly to how many notches the hand on the dial will move. So if you only need to move one space, you only need one stack of the buff. So as you can see in the example image, you'd need two stacks of the buff, and to turn the dial counterclockwise.
- 1A - This is the handle you use to turn the hand Clockwise
- 1B - This is the handle you use to turn the hand Counter Clockwise
- 1C - The Target Area you need the hand to move to
In total you'll need to do this three times before progressing, and there'll be plenty of Cabal and Prismatic enemies to try and stop you as you go.
