How to fix Buffalo Error Code in Destiny 2

A simple fix!

It is typical for a live service game to experience some technical issues. Destiny 2 is no stranger to this, and fans have no doubt encountered an issue before and received an error code. To identify these errors, Bungie has created various error codes to help diagnose the problem. One of the codes you may receive is known as Buffalo. Here is how you can fix it.

Bungie's help page states that the Buffalo error appears to players who are not signed in with their platform account, or their platform services are undergoing maintenance. Players can get this code at any time, and it will remove them from whatever they are doing. This error means that there is nothing wrong with the game or its servers, and it is an issue on your platform's end.

To fix this error, the first step is to make sure that you are signed in to your platform's services. On console, this means double-checking that your online services are active. While on Steam, you only need to be sure you're signed in. Once you have done that, you can check the status of your platform's servers to see if they are currently down or experiencing issues. You can check your platform's server status by following the links below.

Players may also encounter Buffalo errors when logging in to Destiny 2 on multiple PCs at the same time. To prevent this issue, Bungie advises you to log out of Destiny 2 on any PC that you do not currently intend to play on. Luckily, this error is not a game issue and most times is a pretty easy fix. To keep updated on anything related to Destiny 2's services, you can keep an eye on the Bungie Help Twitter Page.

I've been playing video games for the past 15 years and every time I turn one on, it feels like the very first time. Since I liked games so much, I decided that I would write about them.
