Mods are what make a Guardian play a certain way in Destiny 2. There are three core archetypes, but nearly limitless possibilities should a Guardian have the right Mods. Armor Mods in particular influence a Guardian's stat distribution, how they generate Motes of Light, and how different weapon types handle. That being said, acquiring Armor Mods isn't the easiest thing. Or is it?
Are all standard Armor Mods available in Destiny 2?
In a Twitter post by Bungie, it was announced that all standard Armor Mods would be available to all players beginning on January 11, 2023. This includes all Armor Mods except for those obtained in Raids or in the Seasonal Artifact. Those will still need to be unlocked by running Raids and progressing the Seasonal Artifact. This means that players can put together any Charged with Light, Elemental Well, or Warmind Cell build they wish.
This is incredibly huge as prior to this update, Guardians had to obtain Armor Mods from Ada-1 in the Tower. There would be two randomly selected Mods rotated out on a daily basis. If a Guardian missed it, then there was no knowing when it might come back. This was incredibly frustrating as it limited players' abilities to craft builds. Now, players are able to put together any build they like. Rejoice!
