How to get Refracting Prismatic key in Destiny 2

One of the most challenging Prismatic Fragments to collect in Destiny 2 is the Facet of Justice, as you need to get the Refracting Prismatic key for the chest by solving the Refraction puzzle. So, if you are struggling to solve the puzzle, here is a complete guide explaining the quest.

Where is the Refracting Prismatic Chest in Destiny 2?

The Refracting Prismatic Chest is located on the northern part of a small island between the Landing and Blooming POI. Once you get here, the chest can be found right in the center of the cave. Use the location circled in yellow on the map screenshot above to find the exact location of the chest in Pale Heart.

How to solve the Refracting Prismatic Key puzzle in Destiny 2

After locating the chest, the next step is to get the Prismatic key to open the chest. To do this, you have to solve a small puzzle. If you look right behind the chest, you will find three rune symbols and a Solar Crystal on top of that. The puzzle requires you to find these three rune symbols on the front of the pillars around the circular arena and place the Solar Crystal inside the bowl that appears behind each pillar. Also, you cannot put the crystals in the bowl in any order. First, you have to find the top rune symbol pillar and place the Solar Crystal behind it, followed by the middle and the last one. The Solar Crystal will respawn at the exact center location every time you put it inside a bowl, whether it's right or wrong.

For example, if you see the first symbol, it has three horizontal stripes on top and three diagonal stripes protruding at 45° from the bottom. Pick up the Solar Crystal and look for the same symbol on the pillars around the arena. Locating these symbols will take time as you are walking behind the pillars on the first floor, and the symbol appears in front of it. So, use the gaps between any two pillars shown in the image above to find the right symbol pillar and place the Solar Crystal inside the bowl.

To make it easier, I have mentioned all the Runes Symbol Pillar locations below from the position of the Solar Crystal at the center.

• Top Rune Symbol: Second Rune to the right.
• Middle Rune Symbol: Third Rune to the left.
• Bottom Rune Symbol: Last Rune to the right.

After placing down all the Crystals, a bunch of enemies will spawn at the center. Defeat them one by one, and you will get the Prismatic key. Use the key to open the chest and acquire the Facet of Justice in Destiny 2.
